Redpath use two types of
film to cover our manufactured range of Colonial Home Gardener Series.
These may be purchased from us in a range of standard sizes.
Duratough 2 film, is a clear
5-7 year life polyethylene film. Duratough is the very same material
that we use in our commercial range of manufactured structures. The
Redpath Lockstrip or Duralock 2 film holding system can be used for fastening
the Duratough to the structure. (See greenhouse accessories section)

Reinforced
Greenhouse Film - Polyweave
Redpath Polyweave is a scrim fortified polyethylene
film that resists heavy abrasion and tearing. Polyweave contains
thousands of clear strands within its resin that are woven together to
form a very strong clear plastic fabric. This is then heat treated
and laminated to produce a flat high strength polythene film.
It has many uses around the house including for
construction of lean-to greenhouses, covering gazebos, doors, windows.
It can be stapled into place with simple battens or Redpath's Lockstrip
aluminium film fastening system may be used.

Redpath's Insulnet is a lightweight
high light transmission fabric used to create a barrier between the plant
and the cool outside conditions. Its knitted construction gives it
strength and it is U.V. stabilised for improved life.

Polyguard
- Frame Lagging Tape
Redpath polyguard is used to prevent the polythene
film cladding from being damaged on the greenhouse framework. Polyguard
is a self-adhesive soft white felt and should be applied to any steel,
aluminium, or wooden framework that the plastic film cladding is touching.
Polyguard will resist heat buildup and excessive
abrasion at the film/frame contact points and substantially extend a greenhouse
films life. |
