A rack and pinion drive mechanism is a popular choice for natural ventilator operation on modern commercial greenhouses and Ecoshelters.

Redpath rack and pinions are manufactured in Europe.  Their robust design offers a long life, low maintenance vent control system that is suitable for both manual or fully automatic drive.

They are available in two lengths and materials including both "curved" and straight versions in heavy duty steel or low maintenance alloy for sidewall and roof vent applications.  The aluminium racks feature a "split cage" design allowing rapid installation onto existing drive tubes.

TORQUE TUBE BEARINGS

Redpath torque tube bearings feature a long life four pin roller design.  The roller material is high density polypropelene for smooth and quiet operation.  Lubrication is generally not required for most applications.

The bearing hanger is manufactured from a pressed galvanised steel sheet.  The hanger is pre-drilled for ready attachment to the greenhouse frame.  Redpath torque tube bearings are compatible with industry standard 33.6mm outside diameter cent drive tubes.
