All Weather Greenhouse Film Repair (Reference 184 >> on Pricelist)

Applied directly to the greenhouse film.  Redpath all weather tape is suitable for small holes or tears and will last for up to 3 years

Used for repairing small tears and holes in greenhouse polythene film, this tape is manufactured from UV stabilised polythene and is inconspicuous when applied.  It is available in three widths to suit most applications.  This tape may also be used for other materials such as joining flooring film and small glass repairs.

Polyguard Greenhouse Tape (Reference 205 >> on Pricelist)

Anti-hot spot tape for applying to the steel aluminium or timber greenhouse framework.  Polyguard provides a soft barrier between framework and the polythene cladding, substantially extending film life.

Polyguard is a self-adhesive felt tape designed to provide a soft barrier between the greenhouse frame and the polythene cladding.

By reducing abrasion and excessive temperature at the frame/film contact points, both extended film life and reduced maintenance of covers can be expected.

The quality materials used in the manufacture of Polyguard ensure a long and cost effective service life.

1.  White felt component
A 100% UV stable white "upper" felt that withstands mould and rot degradation.  The felt includes a hot-melt bond fibre providing it with extra stability.  It resists "prilling" and movement even under heavy cover abrasion conditions.

2.  Adhesive contact
A highly aggressive acrylic compound adhesive that adheres readily to aluminium, steel and timber frame work.  This particular adhesive has excellent resistance to temperature and moisture fluctuation whilst also performing well when exposed to UV light.

3.  Proven to last and perform
Polyguard is the chosen frame guard tape used by Redpath and other commercial greenhouse manufacturers throughout Australasia.  It has been proven to last and perform for many years.  Polyguard is a preventative maintenance product that is an integral component in any greenhouse re-skinning work.

Polyguard application:
Ensure that surfaces are clean and dry and ambient air temperature is above 10°C before applying Polyguard.

 
Patchbond Permanent Film Repair Tape (Reference 190 >> on Pricelist)

Patchbond adhesive tape is designed for the long term repair of cuts and tears in greenhouse film covers.

The acrylic based adhesive has excellent resistance to UV and moisture.

We recommend using the same plastic for the patch as used on the surface being repaired.  This will ensure that the patch material has the desired resistance to UV light and will limit any adverse reactions.

A "patch" system of repair provides the ability to spread load across a greater area and improves the likelihood of a longer life repair.

For commercial greenhouse repair contractors, this tape is also available in a 150mm width x 50m (164') roll (price on application)

NB - Do not apply this tape in temperatures below 10°C and only apply to dry clean surfaces.
 

Redpath Roof Batten Tape (Reference 196 >> on Pricelist)

Batten tape is an isolating two sided foam tape.  If exterior battens are used to hold covers down onto the rafters of a greenhouse, Batten tape should be applied before fastening in place.

A dense white foam tape coated on both sides with a high tack acrylic adhesive.  Double sided batten tape is designed to "isolate" between the holding timber roof battens and the top surface of greenhouse films on truss style greenhouses.

Batten tape is also often used to isolate poly sheets at the ridge on "butterfly" vented structures.

Redpath batten tape will help assist in preventing sideways movement at the point where the holding batten nails or screws go through the greenhouse film and thus helping prevent tearing.  Batten tape has excellent resistance to weather, fungi and UV.
