Approximately 70 people attended the opening
ceremony of the Redpath Greenhouses new factory complex based in Palmerston
North. The Mayor of Palmerston North Mr Mark Bell-Booth, was present
for the cutting of the red ribbon and to formally welcome
Redpath Greenhouses Company & staff to the
district.
David Williams co-director of Redpath Pacific
says that Redpath chose Palmerston North for its superior logistical distribution
for transport & ports, whilst also appreciating the cities ability
to provide an excellent level of quality staff & support engineering
companies for it's on-going expansion of sales.
"Last year the company produced more than 20 acres
of horticultural & agricultural structures from its factories &
has current orders to more than double this in the coming year says Kevin
Waters workshop manager". The new complex provides a 100% indoor
manufacturing & storage process. This will provide a very high
quality & consistent product which is required for the ever increasing
export market that the company is enjoying.
The company has also recently extended its factory
operation in Victoria Australia & is establishing a new base in regional
Sydney NSW Australia.
Glen Williams co-director says "The interest in
Redpaths accessory & buildings range continues to grow at an ever increasing
rate throughout Australasia, the constant adoption of new technology within
our designs & applying these to the benefit of our growers businesses
has proven to be a very successful formula".
Redpath say that they are looking forward to a
long & successful future from their new base & invite anyone from
within the industry to call in & take a tour of the manufacturing plant
when visiting the area.
