ANTI-CONDENSATION SPRAY FOR GREENHOUSE CLADDING

Sunclear is a new and improved sprayable liquid, and is now available to commercial greenhouse and glasshouse growers for the control of condensation drip forming on the inside of plastic or glasshouse claddings.

Many greenhouse growers are aware that dripping increases the incidence of fungal diseases such as botrytis, which can cause major losses in production.  Other impacts that the formation of water has on the inside of a greenhouse cladding is decreased light transmission (by as much as 50%), with less light meaning less solar energy and respective increased heating costs.

Sunclear is a non-toxic sprayable coating that converts the normal hydrophobic (non-wettable) surface of all plastics and metals to a hydrophilic (wettable) condition, this essentially meaning that water build-up on the surface of the material treated by Sunclear prefers to lay flat and adhere to the surface than attract to itself or form a droplet.

Many growers will be using modern greenhouse films that have “anti-fog” additives and these do work and last for a period of time (typically 24 months) but a constant washing action will wear off the anti-fog additive and this will be viewable by the build-up of water droplets even on “AF” sheeting after a period of time.  Sunclear can then be applied to renew the anti-fog characteristic.

Sunclear will of course work on older style non-antifog greenhouse films and in fact suits all brands of greenhouse films available today.

Sunclear is water-based and non-toxic, it can be applied by fine pressure spray directly to cladding and is very safe to use.

One litre (34 fl.oz) of Sunclear concentrate will make sufficient diluted solution to give coverage of up to 1000 sq. metres (1094 sq. yards). Sunclear can offer cost effective savings to growers in the prevention of diseased plants and increased production via higher light levels.
