Steel framework in contact with film is lagged
with anti-chafe Polyguard tape.
A proven feature incorporated into all Redpath
greenhouse models is the exclusive use of Polyguard greenhouse frame lagging
tape. Redpath manufacture this tape in house to our own high standards
specifically for the application. Polyguard is a soft 100% polyester
felt fabric with a coated acrylic adhesive on one side. The Polyguard
tape product is adhered to all steel or aluminium framework where the Duratough
polyethylene cladding is in contact with the structure. Polyguard
virtually eliminates the problem of cover abrasion from rubbing on the
framework & additionally reflects unwanted heat at film/frame contact
points also.
Polyguard will not rot or breakdown from Ultra
Violet radiation & will remain glued to the framework for up to ten
years. It is highly moisture & chemical resistant & well suited
to the harsh greenhouse environment. Polyguard has proven itself to extend
greenhouse film life by up to 2 years or more when compared to greenhouse
frames without this innovative felt tape fitted.
