Double ridge ventilation with Redpath
Raised Ridge feature is optional in twin-skin or singleskin covering.
Double ridge ventilation is still an option available
on the Super Single design. The double roof vent system offers the
grower the extra flexibility of being able to operate the leeward roof
ventilators dependant on direction of the outside wind.
On warm calm days the extra roof opening capacity
(up to 33% of floor area) that double ridge ventilators can offer allows
for improved temperature control.
The ventilator has been specially designed to ensure
that the outer edge of the ventilator is lifted well above the ridge line
(apex) of the structure. This has the effect of creating a low pressure
pocket of air on the leeward side of the ventilator for rapid evacuation
of the greenhouse environment. Redpath double ridge ventilators incorporate
the special raised ridge design for superior ventilation in marginal conditions.
