Curved vent arms provide superior cladding
tension & condensation control.
Special curved vent arms have been developed for
the Redpath Super Ultraspan model. The curved vent arm system allows
for the single-skinning (1 x poly layer) of the entire roof ventilator
mechanism.
A traditional polythene clad greenhouses that uses
a rack & pinion ridge ventilation system would typically use
a twinskin (2 layer) cladding. This is because a twinskin cladding
is needed reduce the potential for rainwater “ponding” on the ventilator
– particularly when the vent is only partially open (in a near horizontal
position).
The Super Light's specially shaped vent arms allow
sufficient tension to be placed on the polythene cladding so as to avoid
this potential for water ‘ponding’. Additional mid arms also assist
with support & provide extra surface tension to the Duratough greenhouse
film cladding.
By using a single layer only on the full roof area
(including the ventilator mechanism), the Redpath Super Light is able to
offer unsurpassed light transmission to the crop. This is particularly
beneficial during dull & short winter days or for crops that require
maximum light transmission.
