The latest European "cross-link" multi-vent
drive technology is used offering efficiency, low maintenance & reduced
operational costs.
The Redpath Ultraspan design incorporates the latest
ventilator drives sourced from Holland. Two motors drives only
is all that is required to operate multiple independent roof ventilators.
This drastically reduces both installation wiring costs & maintenance
costs on the greenhouse.
Redpath “crosslinks” may operate up to 5000-7000
square metres of greenhouse using only two motors dependant on structure
layout.
The system works by mounting an electric motor
& gearbox beneath one of the gutters. This in-turn drives a “crosslink”
tube across the full width of the building. This “crosslink” tube
then has an angle link to each ventilator & each ventilator has a reduction
gearbox on its main shaft.
The system is both efficient to operate & cost
effective to install. The ventilator may be opened at varying speeds
dependent on the gearbox ratios chosen, however the most popular choice
is to have between 5 - 7 minutes from full opening to full closing.
Long life & low maintenance componentry is
exclusively used throughout the ridge ventilation system with the majority
of the operating items being sourced from Holland. Electric motors
may be single or three phase in either 220-240 volt or 120volt.
