VENTED ARCH - DESIGN #7500FI
"Quality roof ventilated tunnel house"

Twinskin covers are an option for maximum insulation.

Redpath utilize twinskin cladding technology across a wide range of it’s greenhouse designs.  Twinskin or “Double Poly” as it is commonly termed also, can offer growers in cooler climates substantial gains in retaining  thermal energy within the greenhouse.
The use of heavier gauge EVA based co-polymers (Duratough) on Redpaths structures helps to lock in night time temperatures & save growers money.
As much as 25% in heat savings can be gained compared to similar design glass clad structures.  Twinskin technology is particularly effective on cold wet nights when the greenhouse covering is exposed to greater wind chill factors. The twinskin effect is created by pumping air with an inflation fan between the two layers of polyethylene film fastened to the greenhouse frame.

This pocket of air separates the layers and creates a barrier similar to “double glazing”.

Air transfer pipes and Air pipe flanges are then used to transfer the air pressure from cover to cover on the structure.

Redpath manometer air pressure gauges are used to monitor the “twinskins” pressure.

Another advantage of twinskin technology is that it can offer improved cover resilience when exposed to extreme wind load.  The inflation pressure effectively places the cladding under tension  & it is less prone to flapping.
